Preamble

We, the people of the State of Oregon, to the end that Justice be established, order maintained, and liberty perpetuated, do ordain this Constitution in replacement of the Constitution establishing Oregon as a State in 1859 and as per the Bill of Rights, Section 1 that the People may alter, reform, or abolish the government in such and manner they think proper.

We the People of Oregon further declare the following to be within the Rights and Responsibilities of the People of the State of Oregon as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.

We the People of Oregon further establish this Constitution in order to slow and stop all forms of corruptions, despotism, usurpation, and tyranny, that have plagued Oregon since our Founding.
