Who is Bob?

Bob Niemeyer

Fellow Oregonians:

Bob is a Self-Employed Mechanical Engineer and has worked out of Tigard Oregon for over 30 years. Specializing in “Product Development”, Bob has been turning ideas into products that start businesses and employ Oregonians.

Bob grew up in Silverton Oregon. Summer jobs included working on farms, Forman at the Silverton cannery, Wilco Farm Stores, paper-rout for the Capital Journal, and working at the local hardware stores. 

His first business, “Niemeyer Industries”, was started in High School using some metal working equipment he and his father originally got as a hobby. Before long, Bob was making precision dental equipment with sales in the Portland area.

In high school Bob was a three year letterman in Golf and Track, played the trumpet in the marching band, earned the level of Life Scout, and was an active member of the Science Club.

Graduating in 1973 from Silverton Union High School, he went on to graduate from Oregon State University, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. He further went on to get a Professional Engineering License in Mechanical Engineering, and in 1987, started “New Ventures Engineering, LLC”, specializing in product development, Engineering, and Prototyping.

Bob has over thirty patents with a few in process. Check out “Google Patents” under Robert H. Niemeyer III to see some of his inventions. Hobbies include making and developing toys, woodworking, metal metalworking, and Battle Bots.
