WHO IS
BOB NIEMEYER

I grew up in Silverton Oregon working on various farms and seed supply companies in the Willamette Valley. My first foray into self-employment (which I called “Niemeyer Industries”) was using a lathe and milling machine my Father, Dr. Robert H. Niemeyer, DMD, and I got originally as a hobby but also used in building precision dental equipment we sold in the Portland area. Also in high school, I delivered papers for the Capital Journal and helped out on other paper routes when needed.

During high school I was a three year letterman in Golf and Track, played the trumpet in our marching band, earned the level of Life Scout, and was an active member of the Science club, graduating in 1973 from Silverton Union High School.

I graduated from Oregon State University, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. Was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and earned Navy ROTC scholarships.

In 1987, I got my Professional Engineering License in Mechanical Engineering, and in 1988, I started “New Ventures Engineering, LLC” where I specializing in product development, Engineering, and Prototyping. I turn people’s ideas into products and small businesses.

I have over 30 patents granted with several in process.

Hobbies include making and developing toys, Battlebots, making stuffed animals, woodworking, and metalworking.
